This week was our first "real" week in Rome. Our studio is located in Campo de Fiori, one of the hot spots in Rome, and it is through the University of Washington. Fortunately for us, being architecture students, all of our classes revolve around the city of Rome - this allows us to take numerous trips during our classes.
The main event this week was the walking tour of the 7 hills of Rome. We were able to travel to the top of the Palace of Victor Emmanuel. Once we were on top, we were able to view the entire city of Rome; the view was spectacular and made me appreciate the city much more.
This weekend we went exploring into an area we had never experienced. We ended up walking three miles to the Basilica of Paul Outisde-the-Walls, the second largest basilica in Rome, where we were able to see the tomb of St. Paul.
